Paljassaare nature walk
Join us for an autumn wonderland walk on Paljasaare peninsula!
Come and enjoy a 6km nature walk in the city. On our way, we will see the bird-watch towers, leftovers from soviet borders, Peter the Great sea fortress ruins, barbwire, blue sea and the beaches. Get to know Tallinn from completely another viewpoint.
Paljassaare peninsula nature and bird area, Katariina pier and Pikakari beach are places where you can easily (and fast, even by public transport) come back to at springtime for fresh leaves and blossoms or summertime for sunbathing and swimming. A great hidden treasure that you need to know about!
We get together at Katariina pier and start our walk in snow. During the day we will tell you more about Estonian nature, we will see birds and typical trees, cliff, seaside and beach area.
At Paljassaare bird area it is possible to see over 200 different species of birds. We shall see swans on our way and we will explain to you, how to make difference between mute swan and whooper swan.
We’ll explain about the seasons in Estonia and give overview of the temperatures and daylight situation. By the end of the walk, you are on the way becoming an expert of Estonia and Estonians.
